4 slices bacon
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 cups thin pretzel sticks (about 1/2 of a 9 oz. bag)
2 1/2 cups small cheese crackers
1 (3 oz.) can French-fried onion rings
3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce
Directions: Preheat oven to 350°F. Fry bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels. Pour off bacon fat except for about 2 tablespoons. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in same pan. Break the pretzel sticks in half. In a large bowl mix pretzel sticks, cheese crackers, onion rings, chopped nuts and Worchestershire sauce. Pour melted fat/butter over mixture and stir with a wooden spoon. Spread the mixture out on a cookie sheet and bake 15 minutes stirring now and then. Remove from oven, put in bowl, allow to cool slightly and sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
