Stuffed Green Peppers

green peppers (halved)
1 beaten egg
1/3 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can tomato soup
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef

Directions: Cut green peppers lengthwise remove membranes and seeds. Cook peppers in boiling water to cover about 3 to 5 minutes. Drain and place peppers in baking dish. Mix ground beef, beaten egg, onion and just a little salt and pepper and bread crumbs. Spoon ground beef mixture into peppers. Spoon tomato soup over meat and bake covered at 350°F for 40 to 45 minutes.

Notes: I had some nice green peppers and came up with this recipe.
