Strawberry Salad With Topping

2 (3 oz.) packages strawberry gelatin
2 cups boiling water
1 large package frozen sliced strawberries
1 large can crushed pineapple
2 large bananas
2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons flour
1 cup pineapple juice
2 eggs
1 cup whipping cream

Directions: In large mixer bowl, dissolve gelatin in the boiling water. Add frozen sliced strawberries with juice, but drain juice from crushed pineapple before adding. Add the bananas, sliced. Pour into 13 X 9 inch glass pan and chill until firm. In small saucepan, mix sugar, flour, drained pineapple juice, and eggs slightly beaten. Cook over medium heat until slightly thick. Cool and add the cream, whipped.

Notes: This recipe serves 12 or more, but can be cut in half easily.
