Baked Steak

2 lbs. round steak
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
cooking oil
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 large onion
2 cups sour cream
1 cup milk

Directions: Cut round steak into serving size pieces. Roll each side raw steak in flour, salt and pepper. Cook in hot skillet with cooking oil (1/8 inch deep) until browned on each side, about 10 minutes per side. Place browned pieces in roaster. When finished frying steaks, reserve drippings and add onion. Cook till transparent. Add milk and stir to make light gravy. Add cream of mushroom soup and sour cream. pour this mixture over browned steaks. Bake in 300ยบ F oven for 4 to 5 hours until tender. Serve with mashed potatoes and use the gravy from the steaks.

Notes: This is a nice meal for cold winter nights.
