Moist Banana Bread

3/4 cup butter
3 cups sugar
3 eggs
6 ripe bananas, pureed
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 1/2 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking soda
1 (12 oz.) container sour cream
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups pecans (optional)

Directions: Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, pureed bananas, sour cream and vanilla and mix well. Then add salt, baking soda and flour. Mix. Pour into greased loaf pan (3 to 4) and bake at 300°F for 1 hour. Freezes well.

Notes: Everybody loves this recipe. We like to slice it and toast it also. I have some small bread pans and when I make this I use some of those and give them to the older couples in our community.
