Grandma Yeoman's White Bread

1 stick butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups warm water
1/4 cup warm water
2 packages yeast
6 to 7 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Directions: Mix butter, sugar, 2 eggs and 2 cups warm water. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water, add 3 cups of flour and beat real well. Add 1 1/2 tsp salt and 3 to 4 more cups of flour to make soft dough. Keep in refrigerator and work down everyday.

Notes: I keep mine in an ice cream bucket and that way I can take out the amount I want to make dinner rolls, cinnamon rolls or a loaf of bread. This keeps for 3 to 4 days. My mother-in-law was a great bread maker and she developed this recipe.
