3 pounds ground beef
1 cup cold water
1 cup bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
2 cans nacho Cheddar cheese soup
real bacon bits
1/2 (medium) onion, chopped
Directions: Mix ground beef, water, bread crumbs and egg. Press in shallow pan. Chill at least 3 hours. Cut into serving pieces and brown in skillet. Put browned pieces in roasting pan and pour the 2 cans of soup over meat. Sprinkle bacon bits over the soup and meat. Slice or chop onion and sprinkle on top. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
Notes: Changing this recipe from the usual cream of mushroom soup makes a very good dish. All who try it like it.
