Oatmeal Cake

1/2 cup margarine
1 cup quick cooking oatmeal
1 1/4 cup boiling water
1 1/3 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup coconut
1/4 cup margarine, melted
1/4 cup evaporated milk

Directions: Place margarine, oats and water in a bowl; stir well let set for 5 minutes. Add flour, sugar, 1 cup brown sugar, eggs, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Stir well, pour into greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 325°F for 40 minutes. Let cake set our of oven for 5 minutes. Topping: Blend 1 cup brown sugar, coconut, melted margarine. Stir in evaporated milk. Spread on cake, broil until bubbly.
