Banana Bread

1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups bananas, mashed
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/3 cup buttermilk
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped

Directions: Cream white sugar, brown sugar and butter. Add eggs, beat until light. Add lemon juice to mashed bananas then add buttermilk mixing well. Combine flour baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix well, stir in nuts. Pour into greased loaf pans. Makes 1 large loaf or 2 small loaves. Bake at 350°F for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool in pans for 5 minutes, remove bread from pan and cool.

Notes: This bread stays so moist and is a family favorite. We like to eat it warm!
