Grandma Berland's Pumpkin Bread

3 cups sugar
1 cup oil
2 cups pumpkin
2/3 cup water
4 eggs, well beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 1/3 cups flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Directions: Mix sugar, oil, pumpkin, water, eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda and salt. Add to moist mixture slowly, stirring well. Prepare 2 loaf pans and fill 3/4 full. Bake at 350°F for 55 to 60 minutes or until bread tests done in center with a toothpick.

Notes: This recipe was my grandmother's own. I make it every Christmas to give as gifts. It smells wonderful when it bakes and tastes even better.
