Hot Chipped Beef Spread

1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 (3 oz.) package dried beef, chopped
1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
2 tablespoons milk
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
2 tablespoons dried onion flakes
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 cup sour cream

Directions: Quickly fry pecans in 2 tablespoons butter, set aside. Fry dried beef in 2 tablespoons butter, set aside. Combine softened cream cheese with milk, add beef, green pepper, onion flakes, garlic salt and pepper. Fold in sour cream. Put in a 9x13 inch greased baking dish. Sprinkle with pecans. Bake 350°F for 20 minutes. Serve hot with crackers.

Notes: A great recipe for a fondue pot, also a good Super Bowl party snack.
